Drake announced today that he will have to postpone his Summer Sixteen shows in Toronto, Philadelphia and one show in Newark because of an ankle injury. The rapper is 50 shows into his co-headlining tour with Future. Drake has performed almost every night since July but now Drake has been told by his doctor to lay off his ankle.

Drake wrote a blog post to share the disappointing news to his fans. In the post, Drake writes “I am crushed to even be typing this announcement because I feel like I am letting my fans in these cities down. I only want to give you the best show you deserve, I promise — I will make it up to you.”
The Summer Sixteen tour is set to resume with the second Newark show at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on October 15. Postponed shows will be rescheduled.
